The construction work is almost finished but as the soil is in place we can begin to get on with the planting. Unfortunately the weather didn’t hold up for planting so its mud festival time – well not quite.
The far bed at the end of the garden contains specimen privet hedging brought in at 1.75m high. Already we are starting to get privacy. Theses hedges will completely screen off the garden from those neighbouring houses in a few years.
The area beyond the raised bedis planted with weeping conteasters which will grow into an evergreen waterfall of pendulous planting with bright red berries in winter. Again this is the shadier side of the garden so these cotoneasters will thrive here.
The raised bed is filled with ferns this side of the garden is quite shaded. We also planted photinia nana which adds height, drama and colour to the bed.
A specimen olive tree is planted into the main bed. This create a striking addition. The rest of the bed will be planted by the clients over time allowing the to regain ownership of their garden.
We planted two stunning specimen photinia red rob trees in a bed. These beauties have a 2.5m clear stem and create an instant evergreen private screen above the existing high hedge. Our work here is nearly done.
