Gardens really do come in all shapes, sizes and orientations. We have been ask to come up with a garden design solution for a very unusual space…
At first impression the garden appears narrow with a sharp angled wall to the right creating a v-shape.
The are a number of levels in the garden: there are three steps down from the house to the existing patio.
To further complicate matters, there is a strip of garden on the other side of the angled wall that cannot be utilised. Because of the nature of the site, this strip of garden is exposed to the street.
This strip of garden is at a considerably lower level the the rest of the garden which meant that it has reamined as a wasted area.
The clients want us to develop a garden design that will bring all the areas and levels of the garden together into one usable contemporary space that is low mainteance and private from adjoining neigbours.
Time to get the thinking cap on…
