Having won the tender to provide a garden and general landscape plan for this large piece of land, we had only a few weeks to turn this project around.
With a new residential building, lots of open ground to landscape and an existing public building to obscure – we certainly have our work cut out on this one.
This redbrick school (above) – not the prettiest in the world – has become visible after a large hedge was removed for new building works. We join the project once the builders have left and the hard landscaping is done.
Overgrown with weeds, this sloped area needs to be cleared before we know where we stand. With a perfect aspect it gets sunshine all day long – exactly what these weeds need to thrive and multiply.
This is a large space to make look pretty all year long. We have a number of pipes and access areas to accommodate and seemingly there is a resident fox family living in there too!
This is a fairly usual sight on a former building site. Someone still needs to clear it away though! For any substantial planting we will need a large quantity of topsoil.
The next post will cover the creative solutions and showcase the end result.
